Dear Pickles!

Oh my sweet girl we are only a few sleeps away from meeting you! I hope that even all the way across the world you can feel all the love, excitement and prayers coming your way. So so much love has been shown for you and for our family. We are going to wrap you up in so much love the next few weeks, I hope it’s enough to last you until we are together again.

Dad, Liam and I will leave on Thursday afternoon and Pastor J will pick us up at the airport on Friday night. I don’t know HOW we will sleep that night, knowing that Saturday morning we will be meeting you for the first time! I just dream of this moment. Will we hug? Will we laugh? Will you have stranger danger? How will this go?  How in the world will we leave you after 3 weeks?

I have your suitcase, and brothers suitcase all packed up. You have Wonder Woman underwear (I always wanted those), more cute dresses than anyone should be allowed to have and let me tell you about the SHOES!!! You have a few million of those, one pair even smells like strawberries!  I have many favorite books packed, plus toys, balls and bubbles. I also have enough Goldfish crackers to cover the earth. I told Dad that we could negotiate what gets packed, but all the Goldfish crackers are going! Toddlers need crackers and Pastor J just sent a message that you REALLY like to eat. You’ll fit right in with us!

I also have enough Goldfish crackers to cover the earth.

Your Pearly Aunties and I exchange Bible verses and check in most mornings. The other day, this was the verse…
“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.” Lamentations 3:22

My sweet girly, God has orchestrated the steps in our adoption, right from day one. The people who came into our lives, the support of friends and family, even of people we didn’t know! This week I can tell you 3 more examples of God’s faithful love…We were short on funds for the travel, and when Dad and I figured out what had come in for donations on Monday, it was that exact amount! We also met people over the weekend who had either been blessed by adoption OR had children with Sickle Cell Anemia. I feel God’s fingerprints all over this one!

Love love love you! And see you on Saturday,
